The Boss-ism
A stroll in a company, public or private,
In a minute you make out, who the bosses are,
You know the boss by the look on his face,
By the way he walks, or the way he talks,
If not this, then by the behavior of else,
Whose activity changes when ‘the boss’ walks through,
Some gladly smile, some pretend serious work,
Some become nervous about what happen next,
So what is it that makes them differ, from the ilk we call our very own:
The employees.
When the employee becomes manager what happens then?
Why does he forget to behave as an ordinary man?
Well I don’t have answers you can surely understand,
An answer will be due when I become one!
Well I too have my very own boss:
The story may be similar for many or all.
He walks into office and a sulk consumes the floor,
A talk with few and their mood becomes low.
He glances around with so inquisitive looks,
Analyzing who is doing what!
Oh how much he wishes he had eyes at the back,
But god still has mercy upon his fellowmen.
A walk to your desk means your day is bad.
You can be lectured for something you might not have done,
A reminder to this fallacy results in same old pun:
“Its not a blame but just a caution, of things that might happen”
Your words are few and his dictionary huge,
So you have no choice but to let him blabber.
When team slogs out he is a happy soul,
As if chirping the morning birds songs.
But a chatter, a stroll or a casual tea break,
Are reasons enough to make him sad.
If work is smooth a meeting is scheduled,
To set the dull tone back among the already bored youth.
Long talks of hard work, long lectures on self-motivation,
Lengthy updates on current tasks and never ending criticism.
Out of the meeting and you only have one question in mind:
Why did I choose software engineering as my line?
But the fine moment comes when he packs his bags,
Young ignited minds become Oh So Glad.
But the pain never ceases to exist.
As he slowly walks into oblivion,
He never misses to give the same analyzing look.
Oh! How can a soul be so dull?
Was he not an employee first?
